Blonde (Back) Down Under

After losing my job to the recession I ended up staying 8 days in Vegas (this was a so called weekend) and recruited a girlfriend and fellow blonde to spend another 5 weeks in Australia...on a whim. See: (BlondesDownUnder.blogspot.com)

After coming back to no jobs, or prospects of jobs....how do I top what I did before? Simple, I go back.

This time, I am going alone, without a plan, without a job, and perhaps without common sense. But who ever said that adventures are practical? I am leaving a lot, a loving boyfriend, an apartment in a city I love, my family, my friends, and most of all my rationality. I would like to call all of this incredibly brave, but I am definitely scared shitless.

I am calling this the education of Sara. I am bound to learn a lot about a new culture, a bit about myself, and have just a little fun along the way....

Blast off is July 3. (The new independence day)

  1. It is very brave! No one said bravery was easy or not scary. I will miss you madly but I am so proud that you are going and excited to see what happens. All I know is those people down under better watch out... Blonde is back!

  3. It will be very weird to be on the other side of the blog. Now, I will understand the frustration it caused to our followers, when we skipped a day or two blogging :) I will miss you :(!
Good luck on your big adventure!!!!!

  4. Being scared shitless is something all solo adventurers experience, goes with the turf. It's only in their books that they usually omit that part. Explore, and you'll find that feeling will subside and give way to curiosity and discovery.
